Pricing

Prices published on this website are ranges, not fixed quotes. The range you are given on the phone is based on what you describe. The exact price is confirmed at your door before any work begins.

If what we find on arrival differs materially from what was described, we will tell you the revised price before starting. You are free to decline at that point and owe nothing.

No work begins on a price you have not agreed to. Any part or labour not covered by the agreed price is quoted separately and agreed before it is carried out.

Authorisation

We will ask you to demonstrate that you are entitled to access the property, vehicle or container in question, and to show photo identification. This is a licensing requirement and it is not waivable. If you cannot demonstrate authorisation, we will not open anything, and a callout fee may still apply.

For rented property, changing or rekeying locks may require your landlord’s consent under the terms of your lease. Obtaining that consent is your responsibility, not ours.

Our work

We attempt non-destructive entry wherever the lock permits it. Where a lock cannot be opened without damage, we will tell you before proceeding, along with the cost of replacement.

Locks, doors and frames that are already worn, damaged or badly installed may fail during otherwise ordinary work. Where we can see that risk in advance we will tell you about it first.

Guarantee

Parts carry their manufacturer’s warranty. Our labour is guaranteed: if hardware we installed fails, or a lock we serviced does not work as it should, contact us and we will return and put it right. The guarantee does not cover subsequent damage, forced entry, or work altered by someone else.

Cancellation

Cancel a scheduled appointment at any time before the technician is dispatched at no charge. Once a technician has travelled to your address, a callout fee may apply even if no work is carried out.

Response times

Response times quoted on this site and on the phone are honest estimates based on traffic, distance and current workload. They are estimates, not guarantees, and we would rather give you an accurate longer number than an attractive shorter one.
